About

Who writes this

GLP-1 Kitchen is written by Scott Wilder. I am not a doctor, a dietitian, or a nurse, and this site never pretends otherwise.

What I am is someone who got obsessive about a gap. When the oral GLP-1 medications arrived, a very large number of people suddenly needed to solve a specific cooking problem: how do you get 110 grams of protein into a body that quits after four bites. The medical literature answers questions about the drug. Almost nobody was answering the question about dinner.

So I built the evidence base I wanted to read. Trial results, FDA prescribing information, the bariatric nutrition guidelines that turn out to be the closest real science to eating this way, and a large pile of what people actually report in patient communities, all of it labeled by how much weight it can carry. Everything on this site comes out of that document.

What this site is for

Food. Portions, protein, fiber, fluids, what to cook on a bad week, and what to do when your appetite has gone somewhere you cannot follow it.

It is not for medication decisions. Your dose, your schedule, whether to start, whether to stop, what to do about a missed dose: all of that belongs to the person who prescribed it. I will point you back to them often enough that it gets annoying.

How these articles get written

Full transparency

Articles here are researched from a compiled source document, drafted with AI assistance, and checked line by line against that document before they publish. Any claim that cannot be traced to a trial, a label, or a published guideline gets cut rather than softened.

Every factual claim carries the weight of its source. Trial findings are stated plainly. Expert consensus is framed as consensus. Things people report in forums are framed as things people report. Contested science gets both sides, and thin evidence gets called thin.

These articles are not medically reviewed. No physician or registered dietitian vets this site. If that matters to you for a particular decision, and for some decisions it should, take the question to your care team instead.

What I will never do here

  • Invent a statistic, a study, a testimonial, or a credential.
  • Tell you what dose to take, or to change one.
  • Claim that a food treats, cures, or prevents anything.
  • Promise you a number on the scale.
  • Run a fake countdown, a fake review, or a fake scarcity timer.
  • Publish a recipe I would not put in front of someone having a bad day.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell me and I will fix it and say that I fixed it. Write to hello@glp1.kitchen. Corrections get made in the article, not quietly in a footer.

Money

This site sells its own books and guides. Those are labeled as products every time they appear. There are no ads and no third-party affiliate links at the moment. If that changes, the disclosure will be in the same sentence as the link.
